I'm writing my business plan and creating excel spreadsheets (basically doing what everyone has to do). I have a few questions though. What do you tack on at the end? I know some people charge more for premium flavors and frostings. I know that some people charge more for elaborate decorations, and for flowers.
For example - say I charge $3.50 per slice for a basic fondant cake. The cake is to feed 50. So that would be $175. I know that price would include labor, ingredients, electricity, clean up time, etc.
Does the $175 cover the SPS system and the bottom cake board? I know you would tack the delivery fee on here.
What am I missing? Thanks!!
My price per serving includes everything except for delivery and set-up. Also, any equipment rental is separate.
Cathy - did you already work the internal support system and the board and everything into the price of your slice of cake? So maybe it originally $3.00 and then became $3.50 with everything? And so that's the price you quote your gal?
