I've got a cake for tomorrow and they want cream cheese icing. I'm planning on using the Crusting Cream Cheese Icing that Kathy Finholt posted on this site. It has butter, shortening, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and salt.
How long can the cake sit out at room temperature with cream cheese icing? Can I ice the cake now or do I need to wait?
Please help because I have no clue what I need to do.

I've used the recipe from designmeacake.com
I've left it for 24 hours in room temp with the AC and had no problems.
