That almost looks like real ribbon to me. If you want to make it edible I would think gum paste would work pretty well.

it almost looks like modeling chocolate... does it tell whom made it? You might try contacting them and asking them
Thanks Swritik I saw it with your link. I don't think it's fabric because is very thick for that, my guess is that it's made of GP or fondant but they let the loops dry vertically an they draped the rest of the bow very thin. What I want to know is where do you get the bling or how can you do it? It's really amazing!
i know i would like to know too lol, i want to make a cake for my parents anniv.

Thanks for the link, I bookmarked it already just in case they are beautiful and they sell it as wedding cake brooches so I guess they are safe to place on the cake, right?
That looks like fondant/gumpaste draped to dry then steamed. I recently did a bow and when I was done painted it with confectioners glaze for extreme shine. But in using my steamer it gives a shine similar to the pic. Close up of the bow in my pics on 40th wedding anniversary cake. Used a planet cake you tube tutorial (I think) but it was soooo easy. I rolled an impression mat over my fondant before cutting but it is easy and looks so intricate and hard!
