How To Cover A Cushion Cake?

I have been looking for any books to show how to cover a cushion cake without luck! Can someone please help? How do we cover the bottom of the cushion cake? THANKS!

Not sure what a cushion cake is, do you have a photo? Are you talking about a pillow cake?
