has anyone been watching the cake show on TLC (Cake Boss??? I don't remember!!) where when he covers a cake with fondant, he uses steam to make the fondant shiny???

Has anyone ever tried this before?? It works for him and I was just curious if anyone else has tried.

I am going to be doing a black fondant cake this week end and the effect would be really neat on this cake but I am afraid to try it last minute!! I will probably try it out on a sample piece of fondant but I was curious if any of ya'll have also tried!!

I did it with just a pan of water on the stove. It seems to work pretty good. It took out a lot of the imperfections.
