I have some MMF made 2 days ago, its lil softer than i normally make and sat down to use it for animals for my grandsons bday cake for sunday. I thought if I just added some tylose powder it would stiffin it up some because I wanted to use gumpaste but had to make do. Its not stiff enough my dog i first done looks like a bulldog who needs to go on a diet! lol Any ideas on stiffining? I hate to add powdered sugar because i will have to recolor all of it. I may have too anyone here know? icon_smile.gif

I sometimes add a little bit of gum-tex to my MMF to make things a little stiffer. You could try that or ..of course trying to add more powdered sugar...
Good Luck!

If you add tylose powder to fondant, I usually let it cure overnight and that helps. But, it you are in a time crunch I havent tried this but what if you wrap in plastic put it in fridge and pull out and work in small amounts at a time? Or add more sugar to firm up I know that works.
