I need any advice on how to color buttercream dark brown. Or if there are any other ideas on piping dark brown vines on a cake. I've tried using black and brown icing color on chocolate buttercream but it just looks like puke. Please help. Thank you.
This is how I do it
I used the "choclate leather" recipe on this site - it was a lighter brown though- to roll out vines and place them on a wedding cake i did recently. It's in my pics. I'm sure you could use darker chocolate to make it or add a little brown coloring to it. The "leather" was really easy to work with so I'm sure you could roll it much thinner
i was reading to get a deeper shade of brown add violet, the same goes for a deeper red, haven;t tried it but its worth a shot.
