I am wanting to make black RI...I have heard that you should start with chocolate icing. Is there a good reciepe anyone can help me out with??

I would like to know as well. I am going to make some RI this week and was just going to add some cocoa or melted chocolate to it to see what happened. BUT that could be a disaster.
Here is a recipe for Chocolate Royal Icing, you should be able to get black esay enough from this.
I'm not sure the melted choc would work. But I've used cocoa just fine. I used my regular ri recipe(antonia74) and pu the amount I wanted in a bowl, added enough cocoa for a good deep chocoltae color and water to thin. Its the Ice cream cone cookies in my pics. To take it from there to black just add a couple drops of americolor super black.
