I am making an animal print cake which I'm considering practice (for a party my dd is attending) so I can try different techniques on each tier (which will be covered in fondant).

I'm looking to make the cheetah spots glossy. Could piping gel be used? Will it slide off? I would like to make them ahead of time, too.

Any suggestions, mediums, etc. I would love to hear about.

Thanks a bunch

I am making a cheetah print tier for my dd's birthday, and when I asked how, it seems everyone paints it on. You thin gel color with some vodka, then paint it on. It does make it glossy, from pics I've seen, but you just wouldn't be able to do it ahead of time. I saw a competitor on food network challenge cutting some spots out, but I don't know what she used. Sorry I'm not more help!
