For the past few weeks, my cakes have been sticky on top after they finished baking. What causes this? This hadn't been a problem until recently (when I have tried to use boxed mix to save time). What could be going wrong?

do you let them cool before you wrap them up? sometimes when I wrap my cakes warm the moisture cause them to be sticky on top, but since I level them it's never a problem.

This happens to me everytime i bake WASC. But I level my cakes, so that part gets cut off. I'm thinking itt's the sugar?
