My friend has asked me to cut and serve her daughter's wedding cake.

What tips or tricks do I need to know how to do this?

Could any one give me a "for dummies" step by step for this?

For instance: remove and set aside top tier...

I really want to do a good job for her. I have not made nor served a wedding cake before.

It will be a 3 tier square cake.

I am not making this cake. We will be in the process of moving and I'm not able to.

Thank you for your help. It probably is not as hard as I am thinking it will be.

Thank you!

Is it hard to remove the tiers? Do I just use a spatula, (Wiltons), to lift it off? (slide spatula under and lift and make room for hand and use my hand an spatula?)

Sorry if this is a no brainer...

Yep, that's exactly how you do it! thumbs_up.gif I also always cut the bottom tier first (some directions say start at the top tier). Because ifyou have any cake leftover, it will be the smaller, easier to store tiers.
