Can this be done? I am making a birthday cake with a person's head on it and he wears glasses. I'd love to make them clear like real glasses and I thought I had read where this can be done with gelatin...

being that most glasses have a frame around the glass, and have bows, I would think you could use wire for the frame, and dip it into the gelatin, or make your frame and bows out of either fondant/gumpaste mixture, or chocolate, you could cut out the gelatin carefully from a sheet you made and glue it to the glass frame, attach the bows, and you have glasses.

Do you have any idea how to make a gelatin sheet? I bought unflavored gelatin today, just in case, and now I just need a recipe to try. I looked in the recipe section but didn't see anything that would work.
