I've searched and found numerous suggestions. From steaming to spraying with a vodka/cornsyrup mixture. Does anyone know which method they use at Pink Cake Box?

No idea. But I would love to know as well. Like you, I have seen the steaming and crisco.

Why don't you email them and ask? Some of the famous folks are very easy to talk to - and you will know for sure what she does!

That's true! I emailed Martha Stewart's website about a cake once and one of her people wrote back to me and answered my question.

I would email Anne and ask her... she's very sweet. I can tell you (from experience) that EVERY cake (and cookie, and fondant cutouts that go on top of cupcakes) that leaves Pink cake Box is airbrushed with pearl shimmer.
