How can I turn white buttercream a cream color?
use use real vanilla or try a drop of ivory coloring
Be very careful with the ivory gel paste. I once had a "tan" cake that was supposed to be ivory, because colors darken over time. So the buttercream looked okay at first but by the time I finished and the cake had sat, it was tan. LOL...not very pretty...use a tiny dot sized amount of color added from toothpick and wait for several hours to see true color before you decide to add more coloring.
Use butter and vanilla.
Not trying to hijack the thread, but how do you turn ivory buttercream white?
turn it white or make it white?
I use butter and real vanilla to make my icing, it tastes great, but is ivory in color. Is there anyway that I can turn it white?
There is a product made by Wilton called Bright White ( I think that's the trademark name) that will turn ivory colored frosting white...
Thanks, I will look for it :0)
