Ganache Question

can I make chocolate mint ganache using andes mints just like i would chocolate ganache using chocolate? Any idea how many? THANKS!

personally i would just make regular ganache and add a few drops of mint flavoring to the cream. i'd worry about the consistancy/spreadability, etc of the melted andy's candies.

If you've already bought the candies, then experiment with them. Do you have a kitchen scale? Start with a 50/50 mix candy to cream. See how that works and what color you end up with. I think it will be really pale (like milk chocolate) as opposed to the deep dark semi-sweet ganache.

That's exactly what I was wondering's for a family get together, so I think I will experiment. Thanks for the help - I'll start with your 50/50 suggestion!
