I went to the store rushing yesterday and I picked up UNSALTED Butter..I usually use Salted butter for my buttercream....How much salt should I add per stick of butter.

I would add no more then 1/8 tsp per regular sized recipe. I might even add half that and taste how it comes out because you add more later as long as you let it dissolve and mix it real well. Once it is too salty that is not something that can be compensated for without doubling your your whole icing batch.

I actually always use unsalted butter and never add any to my BC..... only unsalted butter, Crisco, extracts (usually mix butter / vanilla or almond) along with XXX sugar and water.
