I found on my last cake that 1 batch of MMF (16 oz marshmallows) didn't seem like enough for my largest layer. Do you double it so you'll have enough? It seems like the logical thing to me, but I'm not sure.
I just adapt the recipe for the amount I need, double, half it, etc and it always seems to be fine
I will sometimes make several batches for one cake. I don't double the recipe because I use my mixer to make it and I don't think it could handle a double batch.
do you just use the marshmallow, water, crisco and pwd sugar recipe? Wondering if I should try the one you add karo syrup and other things to.
I just use the simple recipe. It's worked perfectly for me every time I try it, and my motto is don't fix it if it isn't broke
Sometimes I do add some flavor to it though.
