Ok everyone, I am doing a wedding cake next weekend. The tiers are 16", 12" and 8". They want silk flowers between the separated tiers. My question is this, Should I just put some wax paper down on the cake to keep the flowers from touching. I am planning on using the hidden pillars and plates. There will be about a 2" separation between each tier.

Why would you care if silk flowers touched the cake? icon_confused.gif I never put wax down on the cake when I insert flowers.

That is kind of what I thought too. But I have read so much on CC about "food safe" that I was worried. Thanks Debi!!
