hi, I'm working with gum paste, seems to be drying out. Is there a way to get it soft again? thanks

Keep it covered and only take out the piece you're working on. I sometimes cut a bunch of flowers and then put them in a ziplock bag and only take out the one that I'm working on.

Once it dries, I don't think there's a way to get it soft again. If it's a ball that dried out, you might be able to cut off the dry parts and save the center.

the gum paste is soft but has a lot of wrinkles in it, trying to knead it but can't seem to get those creases out.

Maybe knead in a little crisco? I use Nick Lodge's recipe and it helps to add a little crisco when it's like that.
