Hi, Wondering if it would be ok, to just cut out a circle out of a sturdy cardboard to place the cake on? thanks in advance, icon_smile.gif julie

My brothers have access to big sheets of cardboard. I am always using it for cake boards. I do at least two pieces of it, and cover it with freezer paper.

I use "recycled" cardboard myself. I just make sure they're in good shape and clean then cover entirely with foil before I place cakes on them.

I have tons of good cardboard sitting here...and when i went to Michaels I looked at the cake boards and thought it was just cardboard...awesome, recycling...
