Congrats! Really nice article - and the "jerry" cake sounds right up my alley - Chocolate, Chocolate, and more Chocolate! Yummy! That would be worth coming to TX for.
Good things come to good people =}
Good for you!! The article was very nice and shows off just how talented you are!!
Congrats!
Im so happy for you its nice to hear a good story instead of another crabby customer story. maybe you wont need a day job soon after all the orders youll be getting from this artical.
Congratulations! It's great to read about fellow CC'ers who have 'made good'! Great article, and I love your website!!!
Hope you have much success!!!!
Thanks everybody. I thought the news lady wrote it really well. The only 2 mistakes were that she said the largest cake I made was 64 layers...should have been the most layers made in one week. She also said that I made 5-8 birthday cakes a month...should have said 5-8 a week.
frstech--I was in Longview's paper on April 1st for "Faux Food"...I made Rice Krispie sushi and Meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting. Wasn't really focused on cakes but April Fool's tricks.
Channel 7 news did a piece on us for Baking Gals--baking for soldiers.
Not sure if Longview could top Tyler's article and pics.
What a nice article......I sure was thinking that 64 layers was a HUGE cake!! Congratulations!
(I made my MIL come and read it too, she LOVES the cowboy hat & boot cake - she managed a steak house here for 40 years!)
Mac... Don't read the paper much so I missed that article... and sorry to say that Longview News ussually screws things up!! Please tell me more about the Baking Gals group.
Fantastic! But I'm disappointed to know the cake wasn't 64 layers. can you imagine the ladder that would have been needed? Or maybe just reeeeeeeeallly skinny layers. I think you should try it.
CONGRATS!!! Best wishes for continued success!!
BTW...love the cowboy boot cake in the article
