I need to make a blood red and dark purple cake for my sisters sweet 16 cake how do I do this?
well recently I tried making red by adding some black and it eventually got that color
Americolor gels. Nothing more nothing less.
i have to say, I used americolor gels last night on a some cookies and I will never use wilton again. The super black and super red are awesome!
Maybe it's just me & I'm doing something wrong - but whenever I try & get red, by time I've added enough coloring it affects the taste big time! Then I saw a hint posted, & boy did it work! Make candy clay out of red Wilaton candy melts, mix 50/50 or so w/ fondant, & add just a little bit (relatively) of red - & you've got a vibrant red that actually tastes good!
cool now will americolor work for a dark purple?
