Is there a special icing that you would use for an ice cream cake? I want to make one for the first time for my dad for father's day. I've had them from coldstone or baskin robbins, and the icing doesn't really taste like whipped topping to me, but maybe it is. That's what I've heard to use. Does anyone know what I could use? My dad's really picky and I want it to be good. TIA!

I worked as a decorator for Cold Stone Creamery, and they use Rich's Bettercreme on their cakes.
