I have a great recipe for a pina colada cake and would live to make it for my neighbour because she loves coconut and has always wanted to try a pina colada, but it calls for crushed pineapple and she is allergic to pineapple. I was wondering if anyone can suggest an ingredient substitution. I was thinking of looking for some sort of artificial flavouring, but then I did not know if not having the crushed pineapple and liquid from that would affect the cake

I would think that anything pineapple related she would not be able to have....I just know I'm allergic to tomatoes and can't even have ketchup!
yeah I know she is allergic to anything pineapple which is why I was thinking of something artificial like an artificial extract or flavoured drink etc.. I was just not sure what the best way to sub it in would be
