Hi there,

Im making a 2 tiered wedding cake a 10inch and 6inch with a border of fonadant roses around the bottom of each cake. My question is do I use smaller roses on the smaller tier? I think I should use smaller ones but my hubby thought it would look odd, niot that he is an expert but he has planted a seed. Thank you in anticipation.

Welcome to CC. I tend to make all sizes of roses, ie rose buds, starting to bloom, full bloom and incorporate them all. Just a thought. HTH

I also make various sizes of roses and put them together. My suggestion is you put both various sizes on top and bottom. Good luck!

i agree with the other OP's with the roses in different size ranges you wont have the need to add anything else to your cake, that alone will make it look nice

Same response. Think of it as a rose bush .. they all don't grow at the same time, they vary all over.

Good luck!
