I'm baking for the first time an 8" and 6" using macsmom's original wasc recipe and am not sure how long to bake for. They are 2" round pans that I'm using. How long should it be and at what temp? I tried 325 for 25 minutes on the 6" and it was no where near finished so I kept trying it and the 8" and testing them every 5 minutes but I know that will mess things up a lot.

I bake an 8" for 50 minutes on 325 with a flower nail in the center. I haven't done a 6" yet with the recipe.

The good news is that the more baking you do, the less you'll depend on a timer (I haven't used one in years), and you won't have to check it every 5 minutes ..... you'll be able to tell by looking or just touching the top and know "oh.....about 15-20 more minutes".

My 16 year old get SO frustrated when she asks me "How long do I cook/bake this?" and I tell her "until it's done!" icon_lol.gif
