I just picked up the new wilton 2010 yearbook at Walmart. It is so thick. I am so excited. I'm gonna spend the next 2 hours pouring over every page.

I saw where the yearbook was suppose to be, but they were out. I noticed your location is NC. I'm in Hartsville, SC.

I bought mine from Wal-Mart yesterday. It has so many cute ideas in it. My kids have already gone through it telling me what they need to bring to school for treat days, and school is out for the summer.

I just got a copy of the 2007 yearbook as a part of a prize for a cake decorating contest at Michael's and it is good. Are they always this good and is it worth trying to get other back copies?

Yes, they are always good.
I am trying to find as many back copies as I can. A friend of mine purchased an old mobile home to fix up and rent out. Whoever lived there before left A LOT of cake decorating items ~ so he gave everything to me. There were lots of previous yearbooks. I had been planning to start collecting as many of them as possible and he got my collection rolling. I honestly felt like a kid on Christmas morning. I look at them quite often. icon_biggrin.gif

I bought mine this morning. For those of you looking for older yearbooks, check out e-bay. Sometimes you can find one seller who has several for one price. I have most of the books dating back to the 70s and e-bay is where I purchased the majority of them. I have a couple that I have two copies if anyone wants them. I'll check later (when the kids sack out) and see what I have.

I haven't seen the 2010 yearbook yet but will be leaving home soon to my local Walmart to find it. A couple of months ago I came across a woman on craigslist who was selling all of her cake decorating supplies because she was leaving the biz...along with the many pans, pillars, pastry bags, tips and blah blah blah came yearbooks that date back to the 80's. I now have from about 1982-2009. It's a trip to see how far decorating has come since then.

Has anyone found it at a store other than Walmart? I went to Michaels the other day and was shocked that they didn't have it out on the shelves yet...

Seems in NJ, no stores carry these books icon_sad.gif I see Wilton has it on their site with free shipping, so I might just go that route.

Madiken - I noticed you could order it online at Golda's Kitchen, but they are not in stock yet.... I hope they come in soon. I would LOVE to get my hands on one. I love the ideas they have in them and on Wilton's website, it says that it is their biggest yearbook ever! I have some from the 1980s from my mom and they were great even 20 years ago!

Thanks Jen. I know what you mean about the old ones. I bought a ladies whole collection of '80's and '90's yearbooks from ebay a few years ago and they are great! Some of the ideas are a little "out of style" but it's a good place to start. I can't wait to get the new one!

Bakermommy4-what side of town are you on? I'm also in Las Vegas and was thinking I would go out tomorrow to look for one when I started reading this thread-now I'm not so sure-I can hardly wait to find one too!

mamabrat13...I checked the Walmart on Lake Mead and Rancho...next to the Fiesta casino, and the one on Charleston and Decatur...no luck. Then I checked the Michaels in the same plaza as the Walmart on Charleston and the Michaels on Lake Mead and Tenaya with no luck at either. If you are in a different area I'd love to know what you come up with. I heard that this years yearbook is the biggest ever!!!

Not to put a downer on the thread, but those of you who have found it;

Can you tell us a little about what's in it? I was rather disappointed with the last one I saw in detail (2006), it seemed to have a lot of things you needed to buy and just sort of assemble. Have they changed that?

Dont you find it interesting that the Wilton website store is always the last one to get the new yearbooks? You'd think they'd be first! Just think how many they could sell themselves if they'd hold up shipments to other places for a few weeks.
