I'm struggling to get the square corners with the fondant square. Do you cut extra off of the corners and have a seam?
you can seam, but you shouldnt have to... easier said than one, i dont like corners! lol. do them first, it should help.

Thanks! I watched a video on youtube and that helped. I figured out that I am using Cornstarch to roll out and shouldn't (so much for Duff's instruction). I used Crisco and that "loosened" the fondant enough to successfully cover without having a seam!
You can also use two smoothers. One on each side of the corner, so that you are kind of forcing a corner to stay put.
There is a video by aine2 (Lorraine Mckay) on youtube on how to do corners on a square cake..........I don't have the site right at my fingertips, and am headed out the door for lunch, but after I saw how she did it, I tried her tips, and have had HUGE success in corners since!
I LOVE doing corners now!!!!!!
I'll check back later, and if you haven't found the site, I'll try to find it for you!!!
