A customer is planning on having 300-350 guests at a first birthday party(I've gotten this number alot for a kid's bday party...seems a bit much to me icon_confused.gif)
She wants a cake to serve at the party and an extra 3D cake for "show" & later for family. She suggested a sheet cake, but is open to other ideas.

My question: I have a 11x15, should I just put two of these together(or however many it would take)....or is there a better way to serve 300...

how much cake DO you need for 300??? That sounds like a wedding to me...

Holy Moly! I think 300-350 guests for a wedding is obscene (I don't think I've met that many people in my life!), but for a kid's birthday? Ridiculous!!! If you are going to do double layered (4in deep) 11x15in sheet cakes, they will each serve 80 approx, so you will need to do 4 of them to get enough (with 20 servings extra). HTH!

I know, it sounds ridiculous!...I wonder if they are just throwing a number out there? because I've had customers tell me this before....then again, maybe it's a Hawaiian thing???

and thanks for your help!! thumbs_up.gif

Holy Cow!!! I think I had 100 ppl at my wedding! 300 for a first birthday? Wow.
I agree - you'll need four 11x15's. Three 12x18s would do it too.

Double layers. These should be double layers for 300 servings.

Right - sorry! I should've specified. Sheets are almost always double here! icon_redface.gif
