What would be the best way to attach fondant accents to a ganache covered cake. I want to attach them after the fondant has firmed up. Can I attach to the cold cake or should I let it warm up a little. I am doing a tiered cake for a graduation and want to put the name on the front of the bottom layer using fondant cut outs.

Thanks for the input.

just did this kind of cake...it was an OHio State graduation cake. just put the fondant accent on when the cake is almost set, no icing needed. check out mu photos for examples.
