I want to make a coffee flavored filling for a chocolate cake. I tried finding cappuccino chips and couldn't find them anywhere, no time to order.
I did find and buy a mocha mousse mix. It is Inspired Cuisine brand and imported from France. Directions say just add cold milk and chill.
Should I do that and mix it in with buttercream or just mix in some of the powder with the buttercream without making it first? Cake will be left out of refrigeration about 6-8 hours.

I have just used instant coffee mixed with a bit of hot water and mixed it into buttercream with cocoa. Everyone loved it.
