Michele Fondant Too Much Milk

I was making Michele Fondant and I was going to double the recipe but I changed my mind I thought it called for 1/2 cup milk but I used 1 cup. I added more sugar but do you think it's any good to still use or should I just start over. I can't believe this happen I never did this before. Has this every happen to anyone before? Thanks for anyone help.
This happened to me before. You should've added more gelatin in the beginning. I don't know how else you can save it.
