I need to make a cake for my sister's baby shower. It is going to be for at leas 50 people. I was thinking on doing a two-tier cake but what sizes should I make? (8in/6in, 10in/8in) I am thinking the 8in/6in combo. please give me your input.

Thank you!

A 10" and 6" feeds 50, and that would give you a nice space between the tiers.

8/6 will only feed 36. 8/10 I think is the better way to go. this will give you 38 servings/10 and 24 servings/ 8 , =62 servings yielding a 1x2x4 inch slice.
Hope this helps.

Thank you cheesecakes galore and cakelady31 for your suggestion. I will be verifying how many are coming (RSVP). and go accordingly.
