Hello, all. I am sure this question has been adressed before, but here I go...
If I used water & shortening, no dairy, how long can my BC sit at room temp? I made a batch last weekend and thought I'd be using it within a couple of days so I didn't freeze it. But, it will prolly be this weekend before I use it. Is it OK to let it sit out, or should I freeze it? What's the shelf life of non-dairy BC? Thanks so much!
It can sit out for weeks. Theres no dairy in it so it wont go bad. I have a bucket of icing in my pantry thats been in there for a couple of weeks now. I used some the other day and its fine. It is in a air tight container though.
You could refrigerate it. i agree it can sit out for a while. refrigerate mine in a couple of Wilton's icing buckets. i'm so glad i saved those from when i used to use that icing. They are perfect.
