Good Morning,
Can anyone give me some directions on how to make an alligator cake?
My grandchildren love them and would love to have me make them one this summer.
Thanks in advance.

I just made a dragon. It was soo much fun. As I was doing it I could see how it could be changed a little to become an alligator. I made the head and the tip of the tail out rice crispy treats (easier to shape and mold. I carved the body out of cake. I started with a sheet cake cut in half and stacked. From there I started carving the contours of the body.

I added pictures of the different stages.

Good luck!

I am 98% sure this pic is from CC, when I saved this I should have named it. Anyhow, hope this gives you an idea how to carve the alligator.

I have magical powers icon_smile.gif... No actually, I clicked on the picture, then when it opened in a separate window, I increased it to a slight 125% zoom. Then I strained and strained the eye balls until I figured it out. icon_smile.gif
