What number star tip do people use the most? I have a #30 but i am thinking it is a bit too small and might want a slightly bigger one, which one would that be? What's the next number up?

Also what number is that big star tip people usually use for their cupcakes?

I personally don't use star tips that much, but the star tips sold with the Wilton cupcake kit are the 1M and #22. I think the tip you were wondering about is the 1m. Hope that helps!

I use Wilton and #3 & #4 is a round tip & for cupcakes I use 2D.

great! thanks everyone

Actually just to add something else, how does everyone pronounce the word coupler? Do you pronounce it 'coop-ler' or 'cup-ler'?

sorry back on this again lol

Is there much difference between the 1M and the 2D piping tips for cupcakes?

1M (2110) is an open star tip.
2D is a closed star: the ridges in the swirl of icing going to be bigger.
