Can anyone tell me how long a Betty Crocker cake mix will keep. It will be covered with buttercream and fondant.

Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

My 50th birthday cake was BC with fondant. (Pic on the home page of my website). Top tier was left over. We cut it when the cake was 8 days old. It was JUST STARTING to taste like a grocery store cake. Still very edible, not as 'fresh' tasting as my normal cakes, but if I was a grocery store, it could sit on the for-sale shelf for another 2-3 days! icon_lol.gif

I agree! I use only Betty Crocker mixes, and they keep for a really long time!

I use Betty Crocker all the time as well and once you "seal it" with
Buttercream/Fondant it will keep at least 5 to 7 days.

Thank you so much for your advice ladies. icon_biggrin.gif

I was getting worried that I would only have 5 days to complete this massive castle cake! icon_eek.gif

Gives me a couple more days......... thumbs_up.gif
