I might be asked to do a wedding cake for a friend of my sister's who lives ...... 100 miles away!!!! icon_surprised.gif

Now, I've already told her that the cake would have to be a simple one (no stringwork that could fall off, etc), and I up'd the price per serving by 25 cents.

But I have no idea what to charge for delivery!! Where I work they reimburse 40 cents per mile. But with gas rising every day...what is fair to me...and to the bride as well?? It may not be worth it to her to use me?? Not only gas, what about my time and the torture of my poor new husband who has to drive with me freaking out beside him? icon_lol.gif

What would YOU do? icon_confused.gif

First of all, how good a friend of your sisters is this person? Secondly, do you WANT to drive 100 miles to deliver a cake? Unless I were going to get buco bucks, 100 miles isn't worth the drive to me.
