I've only just managed to get my head around making a fountain wedding cake in July, and I've already got a bridal shower cake lined up for June 20!
I would really appreciate any help I could get from you ladies.
The brides' mother is going to be making a chocolate cake possibly 14" x 12" (I'm not sure how big, but somewhere there). And they've asked me to decorate it.
The theme for that day will be peacocks and they'll provide some peacock feathers. But I'm lost for ideas as to how to decorate such a large rectangle cake. If it were smaller, or tiered, I could have come up with something.
If I cover it with chocolate buttercream, and have those feathers in a corner, what else could I do to dress the cake up?
TIA
xx
just did a search through the galleries not sure where the feathers would fit in but these are pretty

Thanks justgale. I did a search but somehow missed the 1st one. Maybe I could pipe a peacock figure, and have the feathers sticking out where its body ends, but dont know how that will look on chocolate...? With the same-ish ribbon around the bottom. Any other ideas?
I thought I'd post again to show what I ended up doing. It turned out they didn't want a very big cake after all, this must have been a 12". It didn't turn out as outstanding as I imagined, but it did the job
