I just thawed a few 6 inch cakes that I thought I was going to decorate for the weekend. Turns out, I'm not that motivated- do you think I can re-freeze them for about 2 weeks? Will they stay fresh? Many thanks!

personally i'm not a fan of freezing, thawing and re-freezing but i have no scientific reason to back it up.

If they're just for you/family, you can go ahead. Refreezing anything isn't - as far as I know anyway! - a safety issue, it's a quailty issue. The thawing/refreezing/rethawing degrades texture.

I love it when you all say, thawing-freezing-rethawing
