ok I see alot of cakes with little stuff on top with stars and stuff.. Do you put the wire on the stuff after the fondant drys are right after you make them.. please help.. I have made this stuff tonight for a peace cake didn't know if I should put the wire on down

Stick the wire in while the fondant is still soft. Either heat the wire in a candle flame for a few seconds or dip it in some tylose glue or some meringue powder mixed with water, then push the wire into the fondant.

Don't put the wires directly into the cake because that's not food safe. Use a coffee stir or drinking straw inserted into the cake (trim to right height) and put the wire into that.

ok.. What I ened up doing was sticking the wire in and then on back added more fondant to cover it, will that work I hope so..

Thanks, I didn't know you couldn't just stick the wire in there... So just use straws.. I have that. But my straws are big round.. I need to get small drinking ones right.
