I want to pipe an intricate design onto a fondant covered cake with royal icing in gold, but i really dont want to paint on the gold with a brush as this is very detailed design. I was wondering if there is a gold or silver mixture i can add to royal icing so i can pipe out my desired colour straight from the bag....

I've read that gold luster dust cannot be mixed into royal icing...

Any suggestions??

Hi, since you don't like painting on the Royal Icing, you can use piping gel instead. You can add lustre dust to the gel. But you need to add quite a lot till you get the colour you want. icon_smile.gif
