Do you need to keep cream cheese frosting in the fridge?
Even after you put it on the cake?
Sorry stupid question.

I would like to know this as well. I had a similar post and got one answer w/ a different recipe than the one I found here on CC. I would like a couple more answers on the subject as well, please. thumbs_up.gif

I think today is a cream cheese frosting day =]

I've seen a lot of cream cheese questions in past past hour. Anyway, I use Edna's recipe and it was good. She told me that she had hers unrefrigerated for a day. I had mines for 24 hours in room temp and it was fine.

Check out Earleen Moore's website. I believe she has a recipe that doesn't require refrigeration.

Just to remind you, most cream cheese fillings require refrigeration.

Good luck.

My recipe is very similar to Edna's and it can be out for about a day. It's probably fine longer but I'm not comfortable doing that.
