I want to make some edible bows and have some 50/50 gumpaste, marshmallow fondant. Will these be edible or soft enough to eat? Anyone know?

Hi Edee,

I dont use MMF i use satin ice and 50/50 mix with satin ice dries hard. just like gumpaste but much faster because of the fondant. hope that gives you an idea.

happy caking,
Stacy

I always use a combination on Satin Ice gumpaste and Wilton Fondant.

I would never put Wilton Fondant to cover any of my cakes but I do combine it with wilton gumpaste and use it to make my toppers for my cake. Most recently i used to to make a baby topper, quilt, baby blocks, etc that all sat at the top of a baby shower cake. And trust me it was not going anywhere - the mommy to be ended up taking it home as a keepsake. I wouldn't recommend adding marshmallow fondant and trying to used it as a gumpaste.
