Help!!

I am having a heck of a time trying to cut out the coach logo for a cake for my dd birthday.

I am using a template from here on cc.

I am using a brand new shart exacto knife.

I am using 50/50 gumpaste fondant.

I have tried rolling it in various thickness.

It just stretches and has ragged edges.

How do you cut shapes without a cookie cutter?

Thanks for any help. I'm at my wits end.

What did you roll the fondant out on? I was crisco and it works and I dont get any tears when I cut with an exacto knife. Maybe try putting some crisco on the knife as well. I know that too much powdered sugar can sometimes cause the fondant to rip. HTH icon_smile.gif

Thank you ever so much. I will try it with Crisco now.
