For tree trunks I use from 10 to 12, Depending on the size of the tree trunk, I had never made a hibiscus, and don't know what is a frond. Sorry I am no much help but here is a bump.

I made some small hibiscus flowers on a turquoise cake in my photos, I used the largest rose tip I had - bigger than the 104, I'm thinking. You could use one of the rose tips to layer a palm tree trunk, depending on the size of tree you want. I've seen palm leaves done with a larger leaf tip, but have not tried it myself.

Best of luck to you!! icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry--fronds are the big leaves on the palm tree.
