Can I use foam core as a cake board instead of cardboard? I plan on covering it with fanci-foil, but does anyone do this? (besides using foam core "inside" the cake).

Yes there are many people on here that use foam core boards as their cake boards.

Thats pretty much all i use. I double or triple for a nice looking board underneath the cake
