I have never had to freeze a fondant covered cake. I am doing my first wedding cake this weekend. What instructions do I give to the bride for freezing the top tier for her 1st anniversay?

first wrap with several layers of plastic wrap, then a couple layers of foil, then plastic wrap again and then put it in a large freezer bag. Worked for me!

thanks linsa. When you took it out of the freezer did you let it thaw in the fridge? What about condensation on the fondant? I want to be able to give her all the info.

they did leave it to thaw in the fridge. I do believe there was condensation but I'm not too sure sorry!
