I've seen the "Fists of Rock" Cakes on here and I am inspired to make the "I love you hand" for the deaf 8th graders I work with. However most people made it with modeling Chocolate. Anything I should know about it?

When do you color it?
does it dry quickly?
Is is similar to working with fondant?

Thanks so much for any and all advice!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Modeling chocolate is really easy to work with-I think even easier to use than fondant. It doesn't dry very quickly at all. You can color it at any time just like fondant. On suggestion though. I'm not exactly sure what the fists of rock are but I think I know and it might be easier to make it out of rice krispy treats then cover it with modeling chocolate or even pour melted chocolate on it! Good luck! thumbs_up.gif
