I have been asked to do a 3D Thomas the train cake. I have never done a 3D cake before. I don't have enough time to order the 3D train cake pan from Wilton, because the party is one week from this Saturday. Can anyone give me some direction or tips on carving out a cake. I did look at the tutorial that is online that seems very helpful, but I could use some additional advice.

Thanks

I would definitely Advice you use a really dense cake such as pound cake. You can also use RKT for some of the parts.
